When you hear "Oktoberfest", you tend to think of lederhosen, gianormous beers, and well-endowed bar maids carrying 6 beers at a time. For good reason, its all too true. Get your friends to rally soon, the fest runs from September 20th to October 5th 2008. (shouldn’t it be Septemberfest??)

Sure, its not exactly legal for US citizens to visit Cuba, but hey, toughen up. Where’s your sense of adventure anyways? There’s not much time left to see the old Cuba before it modernizes. Smoke a real Cuban, sip some rum listening to jazz in a social club, or learn about Che in the Revolutionary Museum. One tip from experience, a $20 bill artfully left in your passport will likely convince the customs official to “forget” to stamp it.
